The CartCaddy5WP HD (heavy duty) by DJ Products Inc. is a material handling solution to help reduce worker strain and injury. It is a motorized cart mover designed to push, pull, or maneuver carts or equipment up to 50,000 pounds. Battery powered, it is a heavy-duty upgrade to the CartCaddy5WP.
The CartCaddy5WP HD has an electric lift kit on the end of its fifth wheel arm. This can be raised and lowered to securely attach a custom cart attachment to the bottom of any cart. This prevents users from having to fabricate multiple attachments on every cart or piece of equipment.
When securely attached, the Cart Caddy 5WP HD pivots a full 180° without jackknifing the cart or manually turning the front of the load. The lifting motion transfers weight from the load to the drive tires to increase traction and allow the powered cart mover to push and pull heavier loads.
The CartCaddy5WP HD has a variable speed twist grip for forward and reverse cart directions from 0 mph to 3 mph. An ergonomically correct variable speed feature prevents carpal tunnel and allows the operator to maintain smooth control while intricately maneuvering the cart.
Standard with the CartCaddy5WP HD is a 3,000 pound differential/transaxle, high-speed controller, neutral throttle braking, power steering, adjustable acceleration/braking, a dual wheel kit, a dual mover drive kit, and a pintle hitch. It also includes a safety stop switch and safety horn/flashing light. The material handling solution has a heavy-duty steel frame, non-marking foam filled tires, and solid fork truck tires.
The CartCaddy5WP HD offers “quick connect” options to minimize changeover downtime for fast paced production environments. To optimize in-service time, a 36V (115 amp) system is standard with three 12V maintenance free batteries that provide eight hours of continuous use. An onboard battery charger and battery discharge indicator are included.
The CartCaddy5WP HD improves that load capacity and efficiency while protecting workers. One of the most common applications this material handling solution is moving carts with two straight casters and two front swivel casters. When attached to the swivel caster end, the CartCaddy5WP HD dolly mover provides the pushing and pulling power needed for easy turning and smooth, safe maneuvering in most industrial or warehouse facilities.
