IPT, a provider of facilities maintenance solutions based in Hartford, CT, has signed a three-year contract with OfficeMax to provide end-to-end facilities maintenance services at all retail store locations nationwide. According to IPT, as part of a comprehensive strategy, OfficeMax has launched an enterprise-wide initiative to improve the performance of its retail stores, with efficient facility management comprising a key element.
“IPT offered the best solution to help us meet our strategic objective of cost reduction with continued superior service to our stores,” said Jim Borg, OfficeMax Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing. “Coinciding with the outsourcing of our facilities maintenance was the shift and creation of our new corporate offices in the Chicago area. IPT served as an ideal partner through the transition, assisting with the retention of intellectual capital through their comprehensive due diligence and application of their work flow processes.”
Services covered in the contract include: facilities support with IPT’s 24/7/365 ServiceCare Center, invoice settlement, contractor management and knowledge management. IPT will also provide access to its nationwide network of service providers for an affinity marketing program that will enable OfficeMax the opportunity for growing revenue and new customer acquisition. IPT service providers will also benefit with discounted prices for office supplies on the OfficeMax web site and in stores.
