ASSA ABLOY, a global provider of door opening solutions, has introduced a Glass Solutions program through which facility management professionals can explore the company’s comprehensive portfolio of standard and customized commercial door hardware for glass openings and partitions. This initiative is an expansion of the glass door hardware businesses that exist across ASSA ABLOY’s various brands and divisions. It includes a premium suite of approximately 1,200 products from door rails to sidelite glazing hardware, headers, patch fittings, panic devices, sliding door hardware, door pulls, door controls, and mechanical and electrified locking hardware. The program is designed to provide customers a simple ordering experience, with everything for the glass opening on one order, one invoice, and one shipment.
“Important architectural, design, and workplace developments like daylighting are elevating the potential for glass openings in office, retail, hospitality, education, and other environments,” commented Doug Thompson, general manager of Rockwood Products at ASSA ABLOY. “Our goal with this new program is to help our customers capitalize on these opportunities with the best technologies, product solutions, and support.”
Meanwhile, the company has introduced the ASSA ABLOY PDU8000 glass panic device. This product features an engraved push area and boundary grooves to make a facility’s exit doors highly visible. The panic device has keyed and non-keyed functions, six standard exterior pull options, and a selection of finishes. Whether chosen with a manual or electric strike, this line is designed to combine security with attractive aesthetics.
