ZKAccess Metal Detectors

Three new metal detectors enhance safety and detect hidden metal weapons, including guns and knives.

The HMD100, WMD118, and WMD218 are metal detectors from ZKAccess. Suitable for vulnerable locations such as schools, concert halls, nightclubs, theaters, and shopping malls, they enhance safety and detect hidden metal weapons including guns and knives.

metal detectorsThe HMD100 handheld metal detector is lightweight and portable. It detects hidden metal weapons including guns and knives; detects people exiting premises with hidden unpaid metal goods; and ensures students do not cheat during exams by sneaking in tools including calculators, cell phones, and personal digital assistants (PDA’s). Transmission range is up to 300′ when installed outdoors (typically 150′ indoors). The HMD100 is equipped with programmable alarm settings, so the user can choose from either a sound and light alarm, or vibration and light alarm. It is web-based and operates on the IEEE802.11g standard with a data rate of 2.4 GHz to 54 Mbps, MAC address filtering, WEP/WPA encryption, hidden SSID in beacons, and Layer 2 isolation. Powered with a standard 9V battery, the HMD100 has an operating voltage of 7V to 9V, an operating current of <50mA, a 40 kHz operating frequency, and measures 16″ L x 3½” W x 2″ H. Optional accessories include charger, 9V battery, and rechargeable battery.

zkaccess-wmd218The WMD118 walk-through metal detector features six over-lapping detection zones with multiple alarms. Sensitivity for each zone is adjustable in increments from zero to 100. Sound and LED alarms located on both sides indicate precisely where metal is detected. The WMD118 also automatically counts people and alarms and, for secure operation, only authorized personnel can access the control panel.

The WMD218 walk-through metal detector features 18 overlapping detection zones with multiple alarms. Sensitivity for each zone is adjustable in increments of zero to 255. A 3.7″ LCD screen and sound and LED alarms are located on both sides to indicate precisely where metal is detected. Like the WMD118, it also automatically counts people and alarms and only authorized personnel can access the control panel.

Neither the WMD188 nor WMD218 metal detectors require manual calibration. The units runs self-diagnostics and re-calibrate with each power-on. Safe to operate and walk through, they are harmless to heart pacemakers, pregnant women, magnetic media, etc. Both have an 85V to 85-264V AC power supply, a 4kHz to 8 kHz working frequency, a working temperature of -4° F to 122°F, and a 155 pound gross weight with a fire-retardant construction. Four to eight hour backup batteries are optional.
