New Product Flash: Aqua-FIT from Zurn

Zurn Industries has introduced a modular sensor faucet line, the Z6950 Aqua-FIT Faucet System. The system design provides the ability to conduct a plumbing retrofit that requires only a new spout onto an existing electronics base. Meanwhile, its concealed sensor lens and aerators help avoid damage from vandalism and cleaning chemicals. Aqua-FIT derives its name, in part, from “Flexible Installation Technology.”FE-NPFlogo

The Zurn Aqua-FIT Faucet System enables facility professionals to choose the desired level of water conservation. The system is available with low flow outlets down to 0.35 gallons per minute (gpm), and its time-out activation is adjustable.

“Because the Zurn Aqua-FIT Faucet System’s electronics are located in-line with the spout shank below deck, updating or replacing only the spout to take advantage of new designs and features in the future will be easy and cost-effective,” says Sean Chenard, product manager, Commercial Brass Operations for Zurn. “It won’t be necessary to replace the electronics or mounting hardware, only the spout.”

These features make the Aqua-FIT Faucet System a good fit for healthcare facilities as well as commercial, office, education, and other high traffic buildings. The Aqua-FIT system can be powered by a number of different sources, including standard battery, hard wire, a 10-year long life lithium battery, or a 10-year hydro-generating kit.

Zurn has also introduced its EZCarry™ High Performance Carrier System (below) for commercial plumbing systems; the system features a 500 pound standard load rating. This carrier has been re-engineered from front to back to reduce plumbing system downtime associated with waste line clogging.Zurn-EZCarry

Advancements in computer aided hydraulic design assisted engineers in developing a patent pending 3″ faceplate orifice and coupling combination that propels waste through the optimized waterway in the fitting. The EZCarry’s hydraulic features enhance the performance of any common flush valve and fixture combination. Available in 4″ and 3″ waste line configurations, the EZCarry is designed to align with future market changes as antiquated line sizing (developed when toilets used five gallons of water) moves from 4″ to 3″.

Available in six models, the most popular models weigh less than 50 pounds, which when coupled with the EZCarry Handle, allows one person to move a fully assembled carrier safely.
